Root Cyanogen Mod 7.0.0 problem when charging.

Hi guys. I have a white Orange San Francisco running Android 2.3 Cyanogen Mod 7.0.0. overclocked at 710Mhz. I have a problem that when the phone is on charge after so long of charging for some reason the phone will switch itself off and then when I pull the charger out it will reboot and come back on. This happens every time I charge it, but never happens when it is not on charge. Could any kind person help me out with this please?

My GF's blade runs very hot when charging anyway and it's clocked at the default speed. If you're overclocked to that speed, it may be overheating. What are you using to overclock? Have you tried SetCPU? You can set profiles so that it under/overclocks in different situations. For example, my Desire HD is set to 40% CPU when the screen is off, and set to the same when charging.

You could try that?

Good point El Presedente. I'm using No Thrills CPU at mo and have noticed that it does get very hot. I'll give Set CPU a try and do what you said. Thanks alot for replying.

Well I'm trying it with Set CPU now and have customized the profiles so will let you know in due course lol. Thanks for the help guys :-).

Other option is to disable device lock when charging (like me and many others).
The bad behavior (reboot when fully charged) comes when the phone is waked up, this is very known bug, which is fixed in some modifications, but we have to wait to be fixed in CM.
