Root Cyanogen mod on desire s

Hi all. I'd like to put Cyanogen mod on my Desire S. Can anyone tell me what the latest stable version is?

How long 'should' it take to install, more than a couple of hours?

Thanks

Hey wooky!

To install CyanogenMod, you would need to be rooted. Once you are rooted, it would not actually take that long to install the ROM :)

As for the latest version of CM... I'll have a quick look and get back to you :)

A quick check on the Cyanogen site reveals that the latest (official) stable version for your phone is CM7.2 (which would be a Gingerbread ROM). There are, however, several Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs and, by the looks of it, at least one Jelly Bean ROM that are out for your phone.

I am about to update the ROM list on the All Things Root sticky in your phone's ATR section too :)
