Root Cyanogen mod on desire s

Hi all. I'd like to put Cyanogen mod on my Desire S. Can anyone tell me what the latest stable version is?

How long 'should' it take to install, more than a couple of hours?

Hey wooky!

To install CyanogenMod, you would need to be rooted. Once you are rooted, it would not actually take that long to install the ROM

As for the latest version of CM... I'll have a quick look and get back to you

A quick check on the Cyanogen site reveals that the latest (official) stable version for your phone is CM7.2 (which would be a Gingerbread ROM). There are, however, several Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs and, by the looks of it, at least one Jelly Bean ROM that are out for your phone.

I am about to update the ROM list on the All Things Root sticky in your phone's ATR section too
