[ROM] OnePlus One / CyanogenMod 11S - xda-developers

It is beta, and there are some bugs with it, like up until a few hours ago the camera was upside-down. But I do think it is usable now, and any bugs should very quickly be fixed. It's actually the ROM for the OnePlus One with some changes made, the OnePlus One is extremely similar to the Find 7a.

I'm using it, because I did find a problem with stock ColorOS, events from Google Calendar were going missing after the phone had been on for a few days. Which to me is a serious problem as I do use Google Calendar for my work schedules and planning. A few on the Oppo Forums have reported it as well. I don't know if it would be fixed very soon, given that ColorOS comes from China and is mostly used in China, and the devs probably never use Google Calendar.

I've been using CM for a couple of days now. There are some outstanding issues.
1) LED flash doesn't work, but I only ever used that occasionally as a flashlight.
2) NFC doesn't work, but that was something I'm not likely to be using anyway.
3) No fast 1 hour charging, takes a couple of hours instead. But that's no real problem I think.
4) Apps now see the phone as "OnePlus One" and not "Oppo X9007".

For my uses these are relatively minor or a non-issue, and they'll probably be fixed-up with future updates in the coming days and weeks. Also I'm sure this version of CM is only temporary, given that's it an unofficial hack of a ROM that came from another phone, the OnePlus One, which is being worked on by a couple of XDA devs. CyanogenMod will be very possibly bringing out an official release for the Find 7/7A, like they've done with the other Oppos.

It's certainly stable and suitable for my uses as a daily driver, a definite improvement over ColorOS.

Bringing things up to date. I'm still using CM11, and I have to report that everything is working as it should, it's reliable, and the battery life is good. Be aware that are still nightlies only at the moment, no official stable CM release yet. But I've not had any problems with them in the months I've been using them.
