Root Daily driver rom.

So I'm trying to decide which rom to use as a daily driver. I kinda have my sights set on AOKP... but I read through on the thread for that and it didnt seem to popular with the users. I honestly dont know why that could be? Maybe because CM is the 'Ole Reliable' of roms? So i'm kinda stuck between the two. I have cm10 on my current device (ZTE Avid) and I've come to love cm.... But I'm thinking its time for a switch and AOKP seems to be the best alternative with all the packed in features and what not. My question is... Which is your daily driver and why? Which do you recommend. Cm11 or AOKP, Is it just because there's more support for cm or is it something else that I'm over looking, maybe a problem?
EDITED Question: What would you say is your favorite rom for this phone?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: Also is there anyway to go back to complete stock? Just in case I want to use my warranty? Go back to stock recovery, rom, Everything. Anyone know if its possible? or could link me to the page either xda or af?

You're in the wrong forum dude. Since you have an avid you should be in that forum

I'm trying to learn about this phone as I'm getting It soon. I re-read my first post and realized how it sounded, I should have explained that I am getting the t599n soon from a friend. My bad :o

Ah ok that makes more sense. Don't base your choice solely on what people say about it since people have different preferences. All roms are a try it yourself and see if you like it type thing. Although I'm currently on stock my most used custom rom would have to be vanir. It has it's own little problems but it's usable for daily use. Oh by the way there are more roms than just cm11 and aokp.

Also there's no way to go completely back to stock since we don't have the stock firmware for our phone. You would just have to make a backup of your stock rom before flashing or rooting.

I do realize there are more than those two just those two ROM's are at the top of my list.. Anyway thanks for the reply I rooted, recoveried(?) My device last night and flashed carbon and it seemed to be a very smooth rom, I then actually went back to stock with a guide I found in the "all things root guide" its just a file that you use Odin to flash, pretty simple stuff but before you try to go back to stock make sure you wipe the phone completely then go into download mode and run Odin with the pre-root file under PDA. Unfortunately it doesn't wipe the flash counter, going to try and use triangle away later today and see if it gives me good results.

EDIT: Here's the link to XDA for the back to stock flash. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489238

EDIT.... AGAIN: I tested out Triangle away and it seems the counter goes down to 1 instead of 0. I have no idea why this is I'm thinking its because its counting the current stock firmware I have as a custom rom even though its all official. Any thoughts or ways I could possible work around this?

Yeah I already know about that pre rooted stock thing but I consider complete stock being non rooted as well. That's why I say there's no way to completely go back to stock. You should also try vanir rom by the way. I would say it's the top choice for most people. Personally I had the admire where cm was the only custom rom available and the only one I knew about so I was skeptical about trying any others but its pretty great. I only used triangle away. It seemed to work for me I think.

Read up on it a little more and triangle away is "janky" on our phones xD it does reset it but we have to do it with a stock ROM/recovery and no root.... How is that even possible to do with no root. I'll give vanir a look sometime later right now I'm just enjoying carbon and 4.4.4 seeings how my avid only went to 4.1.2, carbon meets all my needs so far so I'm might just stick with it for a while even though vanir looks very tempting... So many decisions :confused:

Do you know what ROMs have apps to SD on them? Those are the ROMs I'm interested in because I have 15gig sdcard and I want to be able to use it lol.
