Daily Reboot?

Litzner

Lurker
I have a Sony TV that comes with Android on it. Is there a way to make it reboot once a morning, at say 5am? It never seems to clear what it was doing in apps and I have all types of issues with apps. Netflix for example will attempt to go where I was when the TV was last on, and then the app will have to restart to get working. Similar problems with many other apps. I all also run into issues where video playback will not work in many apps, and the only solution is to reboot the TV itself. These all could be solved if the TV would just reboot itself early in the morning and start each day with a clean slate.

Or if when I hit the power button the TV actually would turn all the way off instead of going into stand-by. I would trade the longer power on times for app stability.

Get yourself a power outlet timer...

Not an easy option with how my TV is mounted over the in set wall outlet.

I still can't believe that Android doesn't allow you to schedule restarts, it is such a basic function.

Wouldn't an app like 'Fast Reboot Pro' work on your TV?
Could be worth the couple of bucks it costs.

(It doesn't actually reboot your phone, It appears to restart the shell... which is what you want, right?)
