Last two or so days my service has been getting worse and worse. Texts taking over an hour to send and receive, etc. Today getting that radio interface resource shortage error and cannot call out or receive calls. All updates applied. Bought phone after this was supposedly corrected. First time getting that msg. Anyone else in this area having problems?

Hello welcome to the forum i can help you but i need to know what kind of phone you have and if it is rooted or was ever rooted

Thanks for the response.

Not rooted. Totally stock.

HTC EVO V. (Thought I posted in correct forum. ;))...

Guess I need to supply more info. I am with Virgin Mobile and have the HTC EVO V phone. This problem has been around since the phone was introduced but was supposedly fixed with an update in Nov 2012. In addition to the resource message I also get the following msg "Call origination attempt fails due to an immediate signal loss". Texts are an hour or more late both sending and receiving. Cannot call out or receive calls. This is the Dallas TX area, specifically the Garland suburb. Impossible to get quick response from VM customer service and obviously I cannot call them. Had to send email to CS. I have all the updates of every type and have done restarts and battery pulls.

The problem started two or three days ago and has gotten worse. I rarely use the phone for calls but needed to today. Are all the providers this bad? Next phone, I will probably go to T-Mobile.

Well thats like the right thing to do but they covering to much up as you can see but also if they would warn you that u would tell them they need to refund you the data charges . They keep it hush cause of this money problems

Still can't call out or receive calls. Did get a response from VM though.

"We reviewed the address submitted on your e-mail and found an open event that is affecting the service on that area. If this is not your current address or location, please submit the right one. We assure you that we
are working to fix it and also to improve your overall customer experience on the area. The maintenance is to be closed by 08/18/2013 at
04:45:21 CST."

That means almost a week without being able to call or receive calls. That assumes it will be fixed by the date/time indicated. Not holding my breath!

Wish someone had similar plans as VM. The one I have is exactly what I want just terrible service. Rarely can get GPS to work so using my EVO to navigate is pretty much useless. All I want is what I pay for, nothing special or extra.
