damn you, double twist!!!!

why is double twist so painfully slow to start/load/sync/perform!! i love that it is available but Google needs to get on the ball creating a desktop sync software!!

I dumped Doubletwist for iSyncr (it's in the store) after the last version of DT limited the playlists it would sync.

Faster, much better handling of playlists (including live playlists), and without all the crap Amazon/Android store stuff.

It also syncs my video (converted to a format EVO can handle). Looks like it works with podcasts as well, but I haven't tried that.

but you have to have itunes as well, right?

Double-twist blows, big time. I went thru a painful process of spending hours to get 25GB of music on my micro-sim card and then immediately uninstalled DT. Try WinAmp as an alternative.

Ditto. I so wanted to love Doubletwist and use it, but it's so painfully slow, and after the umpteenth time it started itself without warning, I got fed up and uninstalled it.

I'm glad I'm not having to deal with it any more.

i hate doubletwist. i couldnt make it sync just a certain podcast, it would just re-sync my entire library. i have dumped it and use beyondpod for podcasts and winamp for music now

i just downloaded beyondpod and it doesn't recognize my podcast

I just bought isyncr and downloaded itunes (i can't believe I have to download an Apple product for a fast sync). I lost a little love for Android when my best option was to download freakin itunes.

what is the best player for podcasts after you sync them to the phone? i liked the way DT organized them separately. any other player like that

I use btunes after syncing smart playlists with isyncr.

In the btunes settings there is several settings for Audiobooks/Podcasts including bookmarking and time filtering. Time filtering tells the player what to consider a podcast or audiobook.

One complaint I have about DT is this: when I wanted to sync just my podcasts, I unchecked the boxes to sync music and other media--then goodby music! Next I was seeing status messages that my songs were being deleted. A royal pain, and now I'm trying to resync everything, again.

I added songs in my Itunes playlist, but they don't update in Double twist, my old playlist is still there, even after importing from Itunes...any ideas?
