Lurker
Hello, checking to see if anyone can assist. I have a Rezound running ICS cleanrom. I somehow disabled the phone icon and contacts. I think What I did was I was in the task manager and I was killing the tasks. but instead of killing the "contact" task I disabled it? I know, nyuk-nyuk, what a stupe. well, This to the best of my knowledge is what happened. then the phone icon was gone.

Well, for the life of me I cannot find any setting in the phone to reenable the phone icon ( when it as the lock screen the circle is just blank) and when I unlock it, the phone icon in the bottom left of the shortcut bars is missing.

I seriously cannot find anything. I have rebooted the phone. I would rather not reinstall the Rom. If anyone has any idea I would appreciate it.

also, it has been running great with no issues, I did not just install the rom recently. I dont think it has to do with the rom, I just thought I would mention what I was running. thanks for any thoughts or assistance.

Not entirely sure what your problem is. You're just missing the Phone shortcut? Long hold on your home screen and then "Add App" and find "Phone"

Does that work?

is phone still in your app drawer? if so cares advice should fix it.

if its gone from app drawer, you are prolly left with no other option than to reinstall the rom.

you wont really need to reinstall the kernel,so just
-boot to recovery
-wipe cache and dalvik cache
-relfash rom

reflashing without the data wipe should put the phone app back and preserve your setup. and as was said, when your back up and running, leave the taks killer off :)
