Dark mode for Google Assistant

I know I can't be the first to ask for this... Is there any way at all to get a dark mode for Google assistant and the Google voice typing box??? I'm driving along in my car or laying in bed at night and I bring up the assistant and I get blasted the eyes with a thousand suns... Or I'm typing with SwiftKey and I hit the microphone so that I can speak out my text and again, it is Noonday Sahara in my bedroom with the light irradiating my pupils

Is there really no relief from this?!

Not only this, I was also surprised that you can't have a dark theme for chrome on Android... seems a bit strange but that is also irritating me somewhat.
