Help Dark spots on my camera!!

Just noticed this the other day. Only when in camera mode do I see these dark spots on the bottom left corner. Video mode is fine.

Is there a solution without replacing the phone?? So frustrating considering it's a flagship phone. First the camera shutter sound can't be turned off and now this?!

That looks like dust or something inside the lens assembly. If you hold the camera in portrait mode, does the smudge appear on the left side of the screen?

Hi, That looks very much like dust or dirt on the image sensor, there`s no way of getting it cleaned off without taking the phone to bits so its a replacement job..:(

It does look like dust on the sensor. You might not be seeing it in video mode since video requires a lower resolution than what you have probably set for still mode. As a result the sensor may be cropped for video and is bypassing the area where dust has settled, but that's just a guess.

It looks like your only viable option is to replace it.

What a bummer. I hope this isn't a frequent occurrence.

How much more useless can Sprint be? I can't get an exchange because it's past the 14 day mark. 14 days!? Now they're advising I call Samsung to get this issue fixed. Useless phone company!!!

Had the same problem with my Samsung Droid Charge... the spot would show up in every picture or video I took. Had to get a free replacement, which I had in 24 hours (probably won't be the case for an SGS3, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you).
