Root das BAMF Now on ROM Manager

i personally would like to see it stay out of rom manager, with all the new rooters we have in TB forum.

it is such a popular rom,it was forcing people to learn to do things in recovery, wich is IMO alot safer.

rom manager can and will eventually goof you up. i highly reccomend folks get used to wiping, backing up,and flashing in recovery so when it does happen theyll have the knowledge to fix it without freaking out.

when your comfortable in recovery,if you still have the need to use rom manager(for whatever reason ) then go ahead.

my 2 cents :D

I've never had any problems using Rom manager. I'm glad to see it in there personally. What kind of problems are people having with it?

bad flashes, bad downloads, bad wipes. lots of folks use it and have no prollem, and as thus whenever i say this, lots of folks chime up and say "ive never had a prollem" ;)

the prollem arises when something goes wrong, leaving the user without a bootable, runable rom. being active in the eris,Droid 1,and incredible forums, ive seen it alot. rom manager also has to be present in order to work. ;)

most common error is a bootloop. its gonna happen to all of us,eventually. no biggie to those who know how to use recovery to reflash the rom,or restore a backup. just pull the battery, enter recovery and fix it. but for those who only know how to click "backup current rom" or other things in rom manager, they have no idea what to do when they actually cant get to it,and we see frantic "help im in a bootloop what do i do?!" posts on the forums.

ive seen people end up semi functional roms with no market,no rom manager, and no way to even side-load apps. there was one particular case with a droid 1 where the guy had no rom manager,no market,no file managers, and no recovery! he ended up having to sbf back to stock to fix his phone.

again,if you want to use rom manager,fine... but become comfortable in recovery first. that way if somethin happens youll be able to easily fix it in recovery.

IMO safest way to load roms:download to PC,transfer to phone via usb, then backup/wipe/flash in recovery. but thats just my opinion.im confident with it,as ive never had an error i couldnt recover. :)

I had no clue on how to install roms, wipe or any of that. Thanks for the push and info provided by you, I am very comfortable now. Tempted to unroot and learn adb now... (just having WAY to much fun though) :) thanks again.

Okay I am unable to download it from the web (phone or Computer) and Get the MD5sum match. DL from rom manager and I get FC on several HTC sense things, I wiped the cache three times in recovery and still no luck. I went back to Thundersense.
Its really weird I do not think that my TB likes Adryln as much as my inced did :-(

did you wipe data and dalvik as well?

try downloading on your pc or phone with a different browser.

Yes I even did a last ditch battery stats wipe LOL I know it would have not done anything to help but it made me look more sexy :-)
I had issues with thundersense when I first switched trying to get it wiped, my original wallpaper would show after upgrade, weird.
I will have to try Explorer or Mozilla since i'm using chrome now.

if it works with one of the other browsers ill be confused... chrome is what i always use on my PC  what is your connection like? if youre using wifi or a slower high speed, does it get interupted and have to stop and resume?

I'm on Bellsouth and have no issues normally, I agree with Chrome it rocks. Just for Grins I may try DL at work to see if I can get it to match, if it does it will kinda suck since I am unable to load to a flash drive or my phone.
