Help Data adding on when listening to Google Play Music

I'm new to this forum. And I'm relatively new to Google Play Music as well, as I've been a subscriber for only some weeks now. I wonder why when I'm listening to Google Play Music, there are lots of Mb data adding on my Motorola G 8Gb smartphone even if, as far as I do believe, I'm not asking for any music to be downloaded.
So, repeatedly, after some 10 hours of listening, I go to general settings, applications, Google Play Music and then I'm asking for the data to be deleted without, for sure, pointing to the application itself. Doing so, I don't see any malfunctioning afterwards but it's rather annoying to take this action of deleting data so often. Is there anything I'm doing wrong ? Any setting that I've not understood, which could prevent data from adding on, with no purpose at all, in my view ? Thank you.

Welcome to the forums! It sounds like its just app history or data that is building up! I am not aware of a way to disable that or change that!

Thank you for that information. I'll be checking it out closely. As you're saying, it must be some kind of temporary file related to the recent listening history.
