Help Data connection other than through wifi

My Galaxy S3 has stopped connecting to the internet when there is no wifi signal. About four months ago I read a complicated post explaining how to set the phone up so that it would, and I thought I had copied it but now can't find it. I have the mobile data setting switched to on, but it doesn't work even when there is a strong signal. Can anyone help?

How about restarting or reseting your phone? It may help...

I would definitely suggest to restart your device, remove the battery too then put it back in and start it back up.

Otherwise have you tried resetting the APN settings and putting them back in again. If you provide us with your carrier we could better assist you too!

And since you said this was a device specific issue I am going to move this thread into the Galaxy S3 forums.

Hi guys,

I have an I9300 with 3g problems and im trying to find the issue.
This are my device configurations:
AP: I9300XXEMA1
CP: I9300XXELLA
CSC: I9300ITVEMA1

I'm using it in Belgium under network Mobistar.
My is that the connection is slow and sometimes just goes down and i cannot surf the web. I tested the sim card on another device and have no issues. I really dont know if the issue is with the csc configuration or i need to get the rom that have the same code for belgium... i allready went searching on the internet but i dont find any info about csc configurations and if that can help or not the network usage. I have no issue when calling and texting.

I have replaced the battery. In fact, it was doing this which caused the problem. Please could you advise on what the settings ought to be.

Deffo sounds like APN settings. Depends on carrier, there's no standard set of settings for all.

Easiest solution would be to just google them really.

I'm with Giffgaff, so did as you suggested, and I'm re-posting the reply here in case anyone else checks this thread for a solution. It worked.
