Help Data Connection Problem

Mixtaz

Lurker
Hey guys, Taz here! I have a real problem here which is seriously frustrating. My current phone is a Bush Spira B3 running Android 6. The issue I have is to do with my data connection. Essentially what happens is that the data connection gets dropped atleast once every five minutes. This is not the first phone I've had with this issue. And it just so happens that the other problematic phone was also a Bush. I use my phone's for online gaming on my PS4 as 4G or LTE is more than enough to get a good session in. But with my latest phone, this is impossible as I keep getting kicked out of PSN every time the connection drops. I'm on the network Three. The last phone I had was a Microsoft Lumia 640 4G with Windows 8.1 operating system and I never had a single problem with connection drops whilst using it. This Bush however is almost unusable due to this issue. I have tried EVERYTHING I could think of, with Internet settings, location of the phone, and you name it, I've tried it. But nothing works. It's not the network as my last phone demonstrated. It's not just when tethering either. It happens ALL the time. Annoyingly my current circumstances prevent me from easily getting a new one so for now I am stick with this! Has anybody else had any issues like this? If so then please email me at Mixtaz666@gmail.com or just reply to this thread. Maybe it something to do with the version of Android? I'm all out of ideas guys! Taz :-)

One of these?

Bush, that's a house brand of Argos for budget products from unknown manufacturers. It's very likely faulty and/or poor design, and nothing you can do with it yourself. Probably best to return it to Argos if you can, for replacement or refund(preferable given that the other duff phone was also Bush).

BTW from experience, Bush has always been associated with mediocre cheapo products, even back in 70s and 80s. Bush CB radios and personal stereo cassettes were awful.

Yeah, you probably right. The other problem phone was the Bush C2, whish had exactly the same issue. I did have a B1 at one point which was fine and never dropped but it was only 3G. I might have to get the Microsoft one again as it's tried and tested and I know it works. Ashame really as I much prefer Android over Windows as it so much more accessible and there are loads more apps available. Thanks for the reply "mikedt", you confirmed what I suspected. So anybody else reading this, I would strongly advise against getting a Bush phone if your primary intention is to use it for Internet. Cheers guys. Taz

I had a data connection issue this past year. It would just randomly go out and fail to reconnect. I ended up fixing the problem by replacing the sim card. Been using my phone for about 6 months now without a single drop in signal.

Will try my friends sim in my phone and see if it works properly. If not then I think I'm going to have to go back to a phone that I know works for what I need it for. I will probably keep this one as well to use for downloading large PS4 game updates as I can't seem to find PDANET (Hides tethering usage from carrier) for the Windows OS. But will use the Windows one for online gaming as it doesn't use much data so won't raise suspicion with the network. Will update with the results shortly. Taz
