Yes, another person asking for help with data leaks!
I've had my galaxy 2 months, the first day I had it I ran out of data allowance in 24 hours - I put that down to not having read up and leaving background data on, downloading too many apps etc.
I've been more careful since then - background data is only on whilst I access the Aps store and I turn off data services when I'm not accessing the web.
Except last night I forgot and had a text from o2 at 5am.
Is there any way of finding out what used 300mb in six hours despite background data being turned off ? The only thing running left on the phone was firefox - and just one wikipedia page at that, surely it's not spent the whole night refreshing the page and eating data?
I've installed 3g watchdog and set it to disable data at a low cut off but really that shouldn't be necessary. I don't have anything set to autoupdate, don't store data in the cloud, never use my phone for email and don't even allow the calendar to sync with google.
Between the data leaks and the 'overseas transaction' charges from the market I'm starting to wonder if I was better off sticking with my old fruit branded phone
