I just upgraded to the HOX from the iPhone 4 about 7 days ago. I just realized that they took away my unlimited data plan and gave me a 3gb plan. I thought my unlimited was grandfathered in. this is on at&t. I called att and they filed a claim and said somebody will call you about on the 20 th. that will be after my 14 day period I can cancel my contract. what should I do? go ahead and take phone back and cancel the contract?

If its the same as in the UK, carriers often use upgrade time to discontinue tarrifs that are no longer viable or fit in with their business model.
I would take it back and cancel and go elsewhere... They may offer to keep you on the old tarriff if you protest enough.
