Data roaming abroad (data sim card)

Newbie
Hello everybody. Now I live in London and I'm going to travel to Germany, France, Spain and others. But I need to work anyway and need to be online 2-3 hours day. Also for sure I'd like to use google maps and tripadvisor while travelling
Would you please recommend me some data sim card or any other ways to get an instant wifi for my device?

You got some options I think,

International data roaming with your UK SIM, which might be horribly expensive. You'd have to check with your carrier for exact charges, which could be anything from 20p to £5 per MB.

Buy a local, pre-paid SIM with data for each country you're going to be in, much cheaper. Which is what I do.

Just use WiFi, available in most hotels and hostels, fast food restaurants, etc. But means you can only be on-line when in those places.

What about MXTConnect data-only sim card? Anybody used? It's only 0.10 euro per 1 Mb.
I've just ordered it via their website, gonna check

That's somewhat cheaper than anything I've seen. The cheapest data plan I've seen for international data roaming in the EU is Lebara UK, which is 19p per 1 MB. Of course 10 MB is 1 euro, 100 MB is 10 euros, 1 GB is 100 euros, and so on.

When I was in the UK in September, I used 700MB in 7 days, and that was phone only with a pre-paid Lebara SIM, pre-paid for 1 GB and 200 minutes, £10. I was on-line all the time, and I was doing VOIP, IM, micro-blogging, sending, receiving documents, photos, etc. I wasn't near WiFi for much of the time either.

No MXTC have few plans: 10 euros per day with an unlimited traffic or 0.10 euro per 1 Mb. So it can depend on my needs
Lebara: Internet per MB (after first 1MB) 19p - in Germany... So I guess it's better use Lebara only in Uk, really quite affordable, but not in Western Europe
Thanks a lot for your advice! I'll compare both of them and order smth =)
