Data suspended during phone call.

Who's your carrier? This is common with Verizon and Sprint phones without LTE. CDMA networks use the same band for voice and data so you can't use them both at the same time.

Verizon does have VoLTE, it has to be selected though as it may not be turned on by default. When you have an LTE signal you can use both voice and data at the same time.

Check your settings to be sure it's enabled (or available). On my phone it's in settings/more/cellular networks/enhanced 4G LTE mode

I have VoLTE enabled. Does not make a difference.

4G signal is good? Maybe try toggling it on and off? You may have to call them and see what's going on with it then.
