I'm getting the Sprint Hero on Oct. 11th, so I'm reading the Sprint Hero User Guide. I'm going to only manage my PIM data thru a hosted Exchange server and planning on turning off all PIM syncing with Goggle. In the manual, under Settings -> Data Synchronization ->Goggle I see the following options:
1. Background Data
2. Auto-sync
3. Gmail
4. Calendar
5. Contacts
I know I need to uncheck Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts, but I don't know what to do with the other two options.
Here's my questions:
1. What is the Background data and Auto-sync options used for?
2. Can I leave them on?
3. If I turn them off, will it affect the operations of the other Goggle applications like Goggle Maps?
