Data Throttled

I don't keep up with the amount. But I download and filled up one 16gb sd card. I have to dump the stuff on my pc to make more room for downloads. I'm downloading none stop. Even as I type.

I use about 7gigs per month just fine. More than likely you were experiencing either tower maintainence in your area or something with your phone.

Does Sprint really throttle data speeds?

i think i may be a victim. I know there is the 5G soft cap and just 2 days ago i exceeded that. Since then i rarely get a 3G signal, always 1x. Net speeds are slow, d/l speeds slow, yet usually always have full bars and great coverage. PRL and profile up to date. Am i just buggin or is sprint on to me.

on my sierra wireless card the speed is throttled to the point dial up would be higher speed.

the bill i recieve in the mail states unlimited, i was told my account was grand fathered in to remain unlimited. however there explanation of unlimited is still undetermined.

out of about 50 calls to customer service about 30 said unlimited means until you get up to 5gb on sprint network or 300mb roaming.

about 20 said my account is good for unlimited usage however when i get close to 5gb or 300mb roaming my service would be slowed until the bill renews.

then others claim they dont throttle accounts and usage warnings are just an error?

after spending over $600 on antennas and boosters i recieve 6bar signal usually under -70db and the speed is comparable or less than dial up with constant disconnections and user warnings i am shopping for a new carrier.

i have read that i can sell the unlimited account

so if there are any sprint fans out there that are interested in a unlimited plan contact sprint get the details on transferring the plan then contact me,

Larollin, are you tethering with a phone? Is it rooted? Are you tethering without the plan add on?

I don't agree with paying a seperate charge for it FTR, but if you answered yes to these questions, sprint does have the right to do whatever they want because you are violating the TOS, not them. Especially if your usage is high using this method.

I've used 20 gigs 3g in a month on a sierra card without being throttled at all when I had my unlimited plan. But that was 2 years ago.
