Help Data Toggle Widget

Is there a Data Toggle Widget that works with D2-FROYO. I had FROYO on my rooted ERIS and had no issues with a data toggle.

Problem is that none of these actually turn data on/off. The data is always on and these things only change the apn.

That will not save any battery.

Try Juice Defender.
Even if you dont use it for the different settings, there is a widget that goes from Data ON- Data OFF- Juice defender ON (which will apply your settings)

Juice Defender's Toggle mobile data widget works.

1. Install Juice Defender.
2. Press and hold to "add to home screen."
3. choose "Android Widgets"
4. Choose "Toggle mobile data"

weird - using the quick setting toggle in the quick battery widget, if i have it on my gmail works, if i toggle it off my gmail doesnt work. gmail app

The FROYO implementation is different in the D2 than in the ERIS (this may be obvious to many). However, this type of functionality seems basic and should not be subject to any overlay like Blur or Sense.

Well, I figured out that in the stock motoblur, you can go to settings -> data manager -> disable data (and disable background data). I just made a shortcut to an activity, and under data manager, it's the first activity. Also, I found a widget called SMODA widget in the market for free that works as well. I just prefer shortcuts to widgets.

Just for anyone who finds this later, I found This link which states that quicksettings DOES disable data directly, NOT by renaming the APN. So I switched back to using quicksettings' data toggle.
