I barely made it in before the unlimited lockdown. However, before my wife and I upgraded to a 4g phone (inc4glte). We were using maybe a combined 4 gigs and that was pretty consistent month to month. I know a lot people are saying to themselves, we only use X amount of data now and if we go to the shared plans we can save Y amount of money. Well we both use WiFi all the time at home. However, we upgraded in July and since having 4g, our data has gone up. This month, we have 4 days left and we are almost at a combined 14gigs.
What has caused us to use so much data? Well watching YouTube videos in HD, netflix app has its moment, and of course cloud storage. With more devices having no microSD slot because there is now "the cloud". Well guess what, the cloud uses data.
The purpose of this was to let individuals thinking of giving up unlimited just to save a quick buck on a phone can be a pain in the ass down the road. This shared data plan is only out to make money for Verizon.
