It is using data as it phones home to the Tecno Mobile servers in Shenzhen, China, very likely for monetization. You might be able to restrict network access, all depending on what device you've got and version of Android. Although if you do stop it pinging, uploading and downloading to the servers it might stop working.

Thank you. But I want to keep it working only for music/video playing purposes only, and stop any data usage activities. Is that possible?
This is an online app anyway for streaming and downloading music, internet radio, etc. So you can't just block it's data usage completely? Or are you just using it as a media player for playing music and video stored on the phone?

Then you are better off with a different player..at this time don't have any alternative player suggestion..the one i use isn't free, it's Neutron.
