Whats the best app to monitor the data i use over 3g. I thought i would ask here before going through all of them in the market.
I need one that has an icon in the notification bar.

LBE Privacy Guard monitors internet traffic and has a lot of nifty features, but it's mostly meant for rooted people and requires root access for a lot of it's features. I'm not sure if the internet data tracker will work for non-rooted phones, though.

I have found one I quite like which is called onavo, has anyone used it. It's free in market.

I use 3g watchdog, used gthe free version first of all. Liked it so much I bought the Pro version. Think it was on offer when I bought it, but don't think it is expensive.
Very good App, does what it says on the tin, can tweak it to change start dates for when your plan works.

Set it to only run when you connect to 3G, you don't have to have a rooted phone.

I use "My Data Manager Free". It's very simple, accurate and easy to use. You can see what apps are using what data. You can set up notifications based on usage per month. It has a widget and can be place in the notification bar.

I've used Onavo. It's a nice clean app. Now I am using Badass Battery Monitor. It gives you detailed information on Power usage per app, per process and also Data Usage per day.

I am currently testing this one out. I have 3G Watchdog and My Data Manager but they aren't too accurate in regard to what ATT says I actually use. When my new billing period starts I will able to see how Onavo does.
