Dumb question of the day....but a serious one.......

Does playing games draw down my monthly data usage?

Or is data usage not effected by playing games?

The games that I'm thinking of do not connect online.
But, they still have to be loaded.

Define "loaded"? Some games do connect to the internet for license checks. Otherwise try turning off your data and then see which games would run. Games with ads also connect to the internet.

So, as long as I turn off the internet.....then, when my son plays games on the SG4....I don't need to worry about him using precious allotted monthly data, is that right?

Yep that's right. Although you might find some games don't load if you have data turned off. I can never get Grumpy Bears to get past the loading screen if I'm out of signal area.

As a rule of thumb I always put my phone in airplane mode whenever my 4y/o plays a game on it, as at least then I know he can't accidentally click on an ad or purchase something by mistake.
