Help date on photo

Hello,
Is there a setting in galaxy s3 where it shows the date on tge photo?
I know you can see the date in details section of photo but I am looking for a way to see the date on the photo.

I dont think you can do that without an app. You could look a one such as

Yes the GS3 has a built-in function to do this. First, open your Gallery then tap menu, settings, turn on "Tag Buddy", and place a check-mark in the box next to "Date".

Then go back to your gallery, select any pic, then start scrolling through your pics. As you scroll from one pic to the next, you will see the date the pic was taken displayed at the bottom. It will disappear after about 3 seconds

This does not actually print the date on the picture, but it does display the date on the screen when you are looking at the pic on your phone.
