Help Day note not working

Has any one come across the day note function not working. My 2014 note has a dark screen on the day note, I can't select the pen function and write. All other aspects ie calendar, tasks etc work fine.
Any ideas?

Hi.. go into your settings.. choose "General" tab.. click on Accessories and find Daynote.. Ours somehow was turned off, click it on and your black daynote box should go back to white.. HTH..
