Dead Island!

Played it at E3...it has time limits, the graphics are nice, but felt very unfinished. Hope there is more to be done and they release a spectacular product, but what i played was pretty rough :/

Bump. Been playing the game and loving it. It does seem a bit tedious at the beginning. Just hack and slash until you get to a higher level. As you level, so do the zombies...even in the starting zones so it feels kind of dull in that way and no real benefit to leveling other than skills.

Can't wait to find some blue prints to make some crazy custom stuff. However, guns are super limited in this game. I'm level 16 and only found two guns, and each only had one bullet in them.

The PC version is a bit buggy. Rumor was they accidentally released the developer version on Steam instead of the retail and are currently fixing it through the week. But it is fun so far.

i just picked it up for xbox cause there are NO games out lately that peak my interest.

games pretty fun. not a game changer, but fun.

it's kinda dull right now, but i hope it gets better. the story is a tad predictable.......

When do you get a gun? I am getting sick of picking up new boat paddles and pipes every 10 zombies.

Anyone mind posting a quasi-review? I looked online a couple places, (gamefaqs and wikipedia lol) but would like to get some info from some android folks.

I read one review compare it to Borderlands and another to Fallout 3... comments?

i got me a gun right before act II. i have crafted some goofy weapons! guns kinda ruin it.....

review: this will be a bad review, sorry.
Music: fun and funny for the opening scene of the game, 0 after that.
SFX: voices are good, zombies are just the typical ARGGG, and the occasional King Kong "Thug" that you will probably fight in the near future.
Characters: users are fun and have special talent according to what u pick (skill sets), computer zombs are pretty similar. L4D would be a just comparison. a little more difference, but still somewhat monotonous.
Blood n' gore: 10/10. everything has the potential to get chopped off and squirt blood! doesn't mean that it does, but it can!

overall fun (to me): a solid 8/10
FarCry meets zombies.

and all this and i JUST finished Act I out of IIII i think.

the best part to me is that u can join and host games without having to do things according to the host. if he is ahead of you, it tells you, host is ahead of you, joining now might spoil the story... if you are ahead of the friend or player you're joining, u can snag some XP or troll to get some unlocks or weapons, or even trade!! if you quit, then it doesnt really impact either player!

its a pretty good buy!! if you rent, make sure you PLAY it. it's not a game to try and think u can get thru it quickly....... u know?!?

that's all. i wish i had better review techniques. review my review!! and we'll discuss! :)

I do enjoy that it is more tactical than Left 4 Dead. L4D you just spammed melee and blasted as much ammo as you wanted. Dead Island your weapons break and your stamina goes down so you can't just go through a level mindlessly spamming.

Cool cool. I'll probably wait on a price drop for this one, as funds are a tad thing in the gaming budget ;) Looks promising.

^ perfect idear! with MW3 and BF3 around the corner with a couple of more good one coming out, that's the way to roll!

Nice review. I've not played red faction... it's sounding more similar to Borderland or Farcry than to Fallout 3..? Fair assumption?
