Help Dead physical and software keyboard buttons

I have been searching around a little to see if anyone else has had this problem but thus far to no avail. I have had my Epic since March and ever since day one the physical keyboard buttons work most of the time, probably 80/20, so the other 20% you hit a button but no letter ever pops up. It is the same thing with the virtual keyboard. When I use swype there will be dead spots on the keyboard so you will be half way through typing a word and you hit one of those dead spots and the keyboard thinks you typed something different. I was thinking it was just a problem with they swype so I have tried a few different keyboards with the exact same problem. Even when I am using a traditional input every letter keyboard certain buttons just won't work at random times. Anyone else have problems along these lines or should I take the phone in? I'm hesitant to take the phone in because Sprint usually likes to duplicate the problem and it is completely random. I can go a week without having the problem then have a day where it is just constant. Thanks!
