Root Dead Pixels

I'm getting green dots on my screen when a black background appears. I don't know how long I've had them, but I just came to discovering it today. I've tried an app that would fix this by flashing Red, Blue, Green, Grey, and Black on the screen, heating it up in some way, and reviving the pixels.

Apparently, it's not supposed to FULLY recover the pixels, but I did see some being removed.

So my question is this: will not being able to fully recover the pixels just result in the LCD screen just progressively getting worse?
