Picked up an Xperia Arc S cheap from a local market last week and got it going fairly easily.
This week the same guy had an Xperia Play so I got it off him pretty cheap too hoping it would work.
Basically it acts totally dead. No lights, no charging, no vibration, nothing... I opened it up and there is no water damage, and there is no sign of fall damage. The usb port looks good inside/out, but I did reflow the connections to make sure.
The charger and cable I am using works with the Arc, and I did try 3 others just to make sure. Also tried flashtool and PC companion just to be sure... the Play never gets picked up on the usb cable.
Any hope to recover it? Anyone heard of anyone coming back from a totally unresponsive unit?
