Dead zones on digitizer replacement

Hi

I just replaced my Digitizer because the original was shattered after dropping my device.

Ordered a replacement at repairsuniverse. Installed it without any big problems but after starting my Atrix, it had 2 dead zones. when holding it in portrait mode theres a 2 horzontal lines non-responsive. 1 near the top and the other in the middle of the screen, both all the way across the screen.

I can't even enter my pin code.

I took my device apart and restarted installation from the top, checking all the connectors. I'm no pro, but to me it looks like they're all still intact.

My guess is the replacement part is broken, but i might be wrong. Is there a fix for this or should i just ask for a replacement ?

thanks

Sorry to hear the replacement is no good. My digitizer started having issues a while ago. There's a 1/2" wide band about 3/4 of the way up the screen that doesn't work. I'd thought about replacing, but I ended up getting a Galaxy Note. Now I just use the phone to power the lapdock over wifi. Works well for watching Netflix in bed. Sucks that Hulu blocks the output, though I use 'flash video browser' to bypass that

Same. Mine just kakked in the exact same spot 16 months from purchase. I'm buying another Atrix to last me to march 2013 when my upgrade comes due because it's still a better phone for the same price id pay for a new phone for the same price
