Help Dealing with small internal storage

Here is a similar thread for the Ascend

In that thread, the discussion is more on an app called link2SD but the app that I had heard more about and am trying first is app 2 SD Free.

My phone is rooted, with bloatware removed. I'm good with its responsiveness except when it says low space and I have too often gotten low space messages. After realizing that its not a happy solution to uninstall my second tier application, I went to moving applications onto the SD Card.

Frys had a 16 GB micro SD card on sale, including adapters for both USB and full size SD slots for $17.99. Other thing is the card is Class 4, which I consider to be average speed, but falling behind the speed curve.

  1. Is moving apps to the SD card the best solution, and for the Admire, are any move or link to SD cards more appropriate?
  2. Will the speed of the SD Card matter much?
  3. Are there other things to know and think about to deal with the limited internal memory on the admire.

Using link2sd works better than apps 2 SD since it moves ALL data and not just most.

If you worry about speed try SD speed increase (free on market) it also helps with your innitial media scan speeds.

A class 4 or lower card will degrade and loose performance faster than class 5 or above and class 4 is actually the most common.

Hope that helps.

smaller SD cards means faster scanning, larger takes more time.

I only move the apps that I don't really use that often, the ones I use more I leave them in the SD, the one's that I use once in a blue moon I leave them in the SD card without installing them, and install them when I do need them.

when you install apps some have services associated with them which uses the system resource even if you move them to the SD card.
