Death of Whitney Houston Thoughts

Since the other thread is a dedication type thread I thought I'd open up to see peoples opinion on the subject since a Mod suggested it.

It is always horrible to see someone go at a relatively young age. Whitney Houston made an impact on the music world as it is today, and the whole music community has been hit hard by the shocking news of her death.

In my personal opinion I do not see her death being any more important than any one who dies at a young age. If you would have asked me a year ago my opinion may have been different, but this summer I suffered from a loss of my own that puts my opinion into perspective for me

And to add to it with the possibility that the cod could be from drugs would to me just destroy my respect I have for her. When a local druggie overdoses you don't see them get glorified and have half an award show in honor of them.

So until the cod is determined that is my personal opinion.. She deserves respect for the work she has done, but don't over do it, she was a human being like all of us.

Anyone else care to share they're view on it?

May sound "cold" however from the words of another musician who died at an early age. "No One.Here Gets Out Alive" - Jim Morrison

Honestly, while she was beautiful and could sing like no other, once she got hooked up wtih Bobby Brown, you just knew it was going to be bad. I don't know any celebrities personally, so I am not going to cry over one, I'll say a short RIP because as a guy who sang in many Choirs and has done many solos for church and fairs, you can't help but notice and feel a connection, but it didn't stop me in my tracks and keep me from living life.
