Ok. The reason I asked was in case you wanted to remove the branding from the phone, where upon I would have suggested use sandpaper and some paint.
However, as you want to remove all the bloatware etc, 3 install, you can follow my (free) root guide and install the latest firmware. Doing this WILL remove ALL branding apps and install the default ones Samsung produce.
However Rooting the phone does not Unlock the SIM. To unlock the sim you will need the unlock code. This should be available from the carrier free of charge. You just need to ask.
If after you want to customise your phone further, (and make it much much faster) then continue with the root process and root the phone.
Once you've got the phone rooted, I suggest you come back and ask for futher advice on how to boost speed. But if you're observant, you'll find those answers already on here.
