Decent Battery App

Hello, I'm looking for a decent battery app.

One which will give me the %age left on my notification bar and a rough estimate how long (in hours) I can expect from the remaining charge.

I'd used Battery Minder for ages. I liked it because it showed me the percentage charge left, and when I pulled down the notification bar, it gave me it's estimated time left along with battery temp and how long it had been unplugged for. Unfortunately, it has recently become wildly inaccurate even after calibrating it again.

I've also tried the Battery Left Widget, but it didn't give me exactly what I was looking for and it was somewhat difficult to set it up in a way that actually meant anything.

I'm using the Desire HD, the other half is using the Orange San Francisco (with JJ9) so it would be handy if the app worked for both.

Any suggestions?

Try 'Battery Alarm' from Yellow Dog Apps Yellow Dog Apps Does mostly what you want.

I love Battery Left!!! I keep that widget on my main homescreen.

Circle Battery Widget is a nice minimalistic one with a fair amount of settings.

Battery Info works great for me, it doesn't have anything in the notification bar but you can set up a widget with remaining percentage, estimated time, temp (and maybe a few others, i don't remember as that's all I have mine set up for).

Dig around in the settings and you can change it so when you tap the widget it shortcuts to your battery usage.

Are there any that show the percentage, that actually replace the battery icon in top right corner of the phone? I swear I've seen a few screenshots of Android phones that have the percentage written in the default battery icon. Is that something you have to be rooted for?

I know the ones I've seen where they replaced the Status Bar icon, were rooted phones..Not sure if there's a way to replace that without going the root route.
