Decent Photo Frames

Why are there so little of them?

Surely they would be quite esy to do (done right).

Anyone know of some good ones?

Have you done any coding? Everything's easy when you're a spectator.

What i'm saying is, there are plenty of digital frames being made but not enough basic ones which should in theory be easier to do.

Also, all these apps for editing pics etc are pretty good, but why don't they incorporate a desktop frame add on / option to compliment?

I personally use Turtle Photoframe. It has some nice features including allow you to set a frame to a folder and then rotate through the images at a set amount of time. It's simple and had everything I wanted. May not be for you but it's my fav.

Can't be good for your battery life, though.
And if you run it while on a charger... then you might as well get a real digital photo display, with 5 times the image size of your phone's display or more, that you don't have to remember to unplug and take along all the time.

I use FrameMe. I think the developer had a post going on xda thats where i heard about it. serves its purpose for me to get a photo on one of the panes. its supposed to do the picture alternating thing to but i dont have that many i want to look at.

It's not that bad but I'm a heavy user that carries two spare batteries so I may not be a fair comparison for the average user. I didn't notice much of a difference but that's not to say others won't. If you're worried about battery life you can decrease the frequency or just turn the auto toggle off entirely by setting to zero. Then you can manually toggle pics by tapping them. I also like how you can set the size unlike other photo apps. Again, maybe not the best for everyone but it's my fav.

I use "Big photo frame". Its a paid app, but its brilliant. Has many different types of frames. I was looking for a simplistic dark frame, and it has that too. You can also make the widget any size you want i think.
