I'm picking up an s7 edge next week and am looking for the absolute best case and screen protector. I tend to drop my phone a lot and need something that provides beyond excellent protection.

The Spigen Rugged Armor Galaxy S7 Edge Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design case for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 2016 - Black gets really good reviews on Amazon and is quite inexpensive.

This is a "wet" application, and is therefore easier to apply...But be sure to follow the instructions on the video. Once you apply you can slide it around to get it right. As part of the application, the edge parts will peel up, so you just have to continually press them down for 10 minutes or so. But once dry, it is very effective. I have had mine for five months with no peeling on the edges.
