Decompile an app?

Hello,

I have to do a presentation about android apps.

I would like to show a piece of code from an app.

My question is : Can you guys help me decompile an app?

I have an app, and i got permission to decompile it.

I really need this Ive searced on google, but not many results.

Maybe you guys have a program/way to easily decompile an app.

Decompiling Java doesn't produce source code, it produces decompiled Java (ie, code that recompiles, but that doesn't mean code that would be understandable like source code). And let's forget about C...

If the app's author really gave you permission to decompile his app why didn't he just give you the source code? Why didn't you ask for it?
