Help Default app malfunction, bug or feature?

I can't make Chrome my default app for YouTube, Facebook and others. I choose "always" and it doesn't stick. If I choose the Facebook or YouTube app, bingo no problem and the popup goes away. I just keep choosing Chrome every time, all I can do.

I prefer to stay within chrome so in order to do so I must click chrome for every link that has either Facebook or
YouTube attached to it. I feel pretty certain this is an intentional bug to switch me over to the app. Just saying. A feature for YouBoob and Faceplant
