Help Default Apps Not Working

For the past 2-3 days none of my selections for default apps appear to be saving. For example each time I click on an external link using the Facebook app it will ask if I want to open it with chrome or the standard Web browser every single time.

The same happens if I want to e.g. open a BBC news story it will ask if I want to open in the BBC News app or Chrome.

I have tried resetting app preferences and turning phone off and on again and it had no effect

From what I can tell, the phone isn't saving your default preferences whenever you set them. I don't know off the top of my head if there is app that can do that for you. Let me get back to you on this. Just posting to let you know that I will do all I can to help.

I had the same problem, An app called Default App Manager from Google Play worked for me. Galaxy S4 is my phone.
