Help Default email account help

Hi All,

OK this might just be a silly question, but i don't have a problem on my android HTC one email account. I am sure many of you have many different email accounts. The email client makes me select one as a default account. Is it possible to set it up where it will send from the email account you are viewing or replying from. Ended up replying to a large group at work from my personal email account while working from my work calendar.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

That's odd. I checked my Note 2 and my Note 8. When I go into the email app, it will reply from the email account that I'm actually in. I have one specific account set as default for both phone and tablet, but it's the same result on both.

The only time I've experienced something like that was through Gmail. I wish I had a "fix" for you, but can't think of what might be causing that to happen on your tablet.

The only time it 'defaults' to my email address is if in 'combined view'. This selects the default email address when creating a new message because it is viewing all your email accounts and 'simplifies' the selection process. Otherwise, you will always get a pop-up asking which email account to use each time from the combined view if they removed this.

It does not do this if you are viewing within the specified email account.

Ohhhh...LOL...Yeah, I don't have them in combined view. Quite honestly, I didn't even realize you can put it in combined view...LOL.
