Root Default Email Client (Using MIUI)

I am using MIUI and the default email client is a little different than the original HTC client for Exchange. The big difference is that I can only retrieve the last 30 days of email as well as cant control any of the time and push settings...

Is there anyway to change the email client to the original HTC Email Client?

Did you manage to solve your problem? I just installed MIUI and i cannot control the time interval for push settings neither..
