Help Default Ringtone and Notification Sounds

Tried searching but didn't see this exact issue.

My default ringtone and notification sound won't stay set after powering off. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?

what are you using to set defaults?

Just going to menu/settings/sound&display then setting the phone ringtone and/or notification sound. Doesn't seem to matter if I choose a stock tone or something I loaded. I feel like an app has something to do with it as this just started happening about a week ago. I'm slowly removing apps and monitoring to try and pinpoint it.

Is it possible an app could interfere with these settings?

I have all my notifications and ring tones on my SD card and I can tell you that every once in awhile after a reboot my phone just doesn't see anything on my card. When I go into Astro File manager it looks like my card is completely empty. If I pop it out and back in everything works again. My phone behaved this way straight out of the box so I don't think it's an app.

Thanks. I was thinking it was an sd card thing as well until I tested it with stock tones that reside in the internal memory.

I think I have narrowed my problem down to the Profiles app. It seems some of the settings changed and may have been causing the trouble.
