Default USB mode?

Is there a way to configure a default USB mode for my phone. Everytime I plug my phone into my computer or car charger, a screen pops up and asks me to select a USB mode: media sync or mass storage. All I am trying to is charge my phone so I usually exit from this screen.

Is there a way to eliminate the displaying of this screen and select a USB mode manually when I want to or is there a way to specify a default USB mode

I remember this behavior a while back but it got removed with a firmware update. I can't remember which update changed this behavior but the phone now remembers a default USB connection mode. So if you set it to mass storage mode that will be it's default.

What firmware are you on? You should look into updating your phone.
