default wifi app needed

[dddlgtm]

Just switched from att to tmobile so I could get uma. Does anybody know if there is a app available that will have my phone default to a wifi connection instead of a network connection?
I am going to china for a few months and my blackberrry does this however the droid doesnt and I really like the droid
thanks in advance

Android can be set to notify you when you're in range of a wifi hotspot, but you have to do the switching manually, afaik. Auto-switching would be convenient, yes. If configurable.

OTOH: often when I'm on wifi and want to go to e.g. the market I canNOT connect. While, unsurprising, I CAN over 3G.
So if I had this auto switch I would have to override it everytime, manually of course, which defeats the purpose of an auto-switch, doesn't it?
