Android Question

Hi!
I have recently bought a new Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 (10) tablet (don't try to find it, I haven't found it on the official site either, it has Android 5.0.1), and I tried to avoid rooting it (my Xperia E4 has been kinda unstable for a while), so I was glad to see that there is an option to pick the default write disk, so I chose my external SD obviously, but still it saves everything to the internal memory. Is it because my tablet considers the internal memory as an SD (as it shows with TCommander)? If so, is there a solution to pick my actual external disk? set-install-location is not working :/
