Root Define full wipe??

I was just looking at random roms and what not and for one of them it said it required a full wipe. What exactly does that mean??

To me, I always thought it meant wipe everything except the sd card--"data, system, boot, both caches, sd-ext, .android_secure, factory reset. Just wipe it all except the sd card.

Now since moving to the S3, I just factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik cache, then flash the rom. But the S3 recovery is TWRP or CWM, which works fine on the S3.

On the Evo, the best recovery is the AmonRa or even Smelkus recovery.

Yes, it means everything but your storage.

Different phones have different things accessible in recovery.

A full wipe would normally be defined as wiping everything 3 times except for the sd-card. Be sure not to wipe the sd-card. That may or not be needed when flashing a rom....follow the wiping instructions in the rom thread

O boy....Ninja'd twice
