Defy firmware update 2.59.0 available in India

Today I just happened to check for System Updates. Earlier, it used to return "Checking for updates is not available at this time". But to my surprize, it returned today with a 2.51.0 to 2.59.0 update available.

I applied the update, everything went smoothly in about 5 minutes.

No real noticeable difference so far, see the following link about what this update does. Everything is very vague:

Hoping for the Froyo update now ...

I bought mine just this Saturday. I just checked after reading this post and found it was already on system version 2.59, with firmware version 2.1-update1. Had been looking for it for a week but it was out of stock in all stores. I got a call from one of the stores I visited and just went ahead and bought it. Great deal in terms of hardware. And since I'm into mountain biking/kayaking, it makes even more sense for me. I've been sold on this since I first read about it.

Yes, waiting for froyo! Hoping against hope that Moto puts its act together and gets gingerbread on this too!
