Root Degrading desire hd 2.2fw

hey guys,
i just need a little help....
i currently have my firmware on my htc desire hd on firmware 2.2
im wanting too root my phone and flash it with REVO HD

[ROM] Android Revolution HD 2.0.15 | High Quality & Performance | OC | Sense/no-Sense - xda-developers

if anyone has a guide or can help me out that would be great!!!!!!
